Xcede have started working with one of Europe’s fastest growing logistic delivery companies. Needing someone to look over the fast-growing data team, you will work with some of the most difficult logistic problems e.g. final-delivery platform behaviour, driver productivity and loyalty, trip-distance forecasting, network modelling, and vehicle telemetry.

What you will do:

  • Lead and grow a cross-functional data science team across marketplace, operations, routing, finance, and telematics
  • Set technical direction, maintain high standards, and step into critical problems when needed
  • Own and prioritise the roadmap, making clear trade-offs and keeping the team focused
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Operations to turn ideas into production
  • Hire, develop, and retain strong talent
  • Improve speed, model quality, and observability while resolving issues quickly
  • Build scalable ways of working and a strong team culture

Requirements:

  • You’re comfortable leading others day-to-day, while stepping in hands-on when it has the most impact
  • You take end-to-end responsibility for outcomes and proactively drive improvements
  • You prioritise the needs of those using and running your systems—couriers, partners, operators, teammates, and customers
  • You thrive in fast-paced, uncertain environments and create clarity through action
  • You communicate clearly, define measurable goals, give honest feedback, and collaborate thoughtfully
