I'm supporting a client who are seeking an experienced Vulnerability Lead with Tenable Attack Surface Management (ASM) Implementer experience to implement and operationalise Tenable ASM across the organisation. This is a hands-on delivery role focused on discovering, validating, and baselining external attack surface exposure, and integrating trusted ASM data into existing Vulnerability Management (VM) workflows. The role will establish ASM as a reliable, actionable capability that drives measurable risk reduction.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and configure Tenable ASM to ensure accurate discovery of external attack surface
- Identify and validate internet-facing assets, including unknown/unmanaged devices and shadow IT
- Remove false positives, classify assets, and establish a trusted baseline of external exposure
- Integrate validated ASM findings into vulnerability management workflows
- Build practical remediation workflows and supporting process documentation
- Identify opportunities for higher-fidelity data sources and platform integrations
Required Experience
- Hands-on experience implementing Tenable Attack Surface Management (ASM)
- Strong understanding of external attack surface discovery and validation
- Experience integrating ASM outputs into vulnerability management workflows
- Ability to distinguish genuine risk from noise and false positives
- Strong documentation and stakeholder communication skills
Desirable Experience
- Experience with Tenable EM, Tenable.io, or ServiceNow Vulnerability Response
- Background in enterprise vulnerability management or security operations
- Experience working in large or regulated environments
