A major global IT services provider is seeking an Azure Migration Engineer to support a high-profile cloud transformation programme for a well-established end client. This is a fully remote role open to UK-based professionals and offers a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-paced project delivering critical cloud infrastructure services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the end-to-end migration of legacy systems and workloads to Microsoft Azure.
- Work with cross-functional teams to design, plan, and execute Azure migration strategies using industry best practices.
- Assess existing infrastructure, identify migration blockers, and propose scalable cloud-native solutions.
- Automate deployment processes using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as ARM Templates , Bicep , or Terraform .
- Collaborate on the setup of hybrid environments using Azure Site Recovery , ExpressRoute , or VPN Gateways .
- Perform workload assessments using Azure Migrate , and integrate with tools like CloudEndure , Lakeside SysTrack , or Movere .
- Ensure governance and security alignment using Azure Policy , RBAC , and Microsoft Defender for Cloud .
- Basic support across AWS environments when needed.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience delivering Azure migration projects at scale.
- Strong understanding of core Azure services (VMs, VNets, Storage, Azure AD, NSGs, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with Azure migration tools (Azure Migrate, ASR, etc.).
- Solid grasp of networking concepts in cloud and hybrid environments.
- Scripting knowledge in PowerShell or Azure CLI .
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools like Azure DevOps , Git , or CI/CD pipelines .
- Basic working knowledge of AWS (e.g., EC2, S3, IAM).
