The Role

We are seeking a Senior Microsoft 365 Engineer to design, deliver, and support secure collaboration services across Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Microsoft Teams within a defence environment. You will work as part of an Agile team, contributing to the delivery of scalable, compliant M365 solutions in highly regulated programmes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engineer and support Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Microsoft Teams
  • Implement security and compliance controls (DLP, retention, governance)
  • Automate processes using PowerShell and M365 APIs
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
  • Act as an escalation point and lead issue resolution
  • Collaborate with architecture, security, and product teams

Requirements

  • Strong experience across Microsoft 365 (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams)
  • PowerShell scripting and automation experience
  • Knowledge of M365 security and compliance
  • Experience with Azure AD / Entra ID
  • Exposure to DevOps tooling (Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD)
  • Background in enterprise or regulated environments

Desirable

  • Defence, government, or secure environment experience
  • Microsoft Purview or advanced compliance tooling
  • Teams voice / telephony knowledge
  • Relevant Microsoft certifications
