The Role
We are seeking a Senior Microsoft 365 Engineer to design, deliver, and support secure collaboration services across Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Microsoft Teams within a defence environment. You will work as part of an Agile team, contributing to the delivery of scalable, compliant M365 solutions in highly regulated programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Engineer and support Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Microsoft Teams
- Implement security and compliance controls (DLP, retention, governance)
- Automate processes using PowerShell and M365 APIs
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Act as an escalation point and lead issue resolution
- Collaborate with architecture, security, and product teams
Requirements
- Strong experience across Microsoft 365 (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams)
- PowerShell scripting and automation experience
- Knowledge of M365 security and compliance
- Experience with Azure AD / Entra ID
- Exposure to DevOps tooling (Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD)
- Background in enterprise or regulated environments
Desirable
- Defence, government, or secure environment experience
- Microsoft Purview or advanced compliance tooling
- Teams voice / telephony knowledge
- Relevant Microsoft certifications
