We are supporting a major UK government law‑enforcement organisation in securing an experienced eSC/DV Cleared Infrastructure Engineer to join a specialist infrastructure team delivering and supporting mission‑critical national systems. This role is delivered via a leading international technology services provider working in partnership with a high‑profile national security agency. Due to the sensitive nature of the work, active eSC or DV clearance is required and the role is fully on‑site in London.
The Role
You will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and enhancing secure enterprise infrastructure environments within a highly regulated government setting. The position requires strong operational infrastructure experience across networking, Windows, and Linux environments. You will work closely with engineering and security teams to ensure the reliability, performance, and security of core platforms supporting national operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and support secure enterprise infrastructure platforms
- Monitor infrastructure health and performance using enterprise monitoring tools
- Administer Windows Server environments (2012 – 2022)
- Manage Active Directory, including DNS and Group Policy
- Support Linux server environments
- Configure and support Cisco network infrastructure
- Administer Fortinet security appliances
- Build and maintain Windows 10/11 client images
- Investigate incidents, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements
- Work within strict security and operational procedures
Required Technical Skills
- SolarWinds monitoring and infrastructure visibility
- Cisco networking (CCNA level knowledge or equivalent experience)
- Fortinet administration
- Linux system administration
- Microsoft Windows Server 2012 – 2022
- Active Directory

- Windows 10/11 client image build and deployment
Security Requirements
- Active eSC or DV clearance is essential
