We're supporting one of the UK's most recognisable media and entertainment organisations as they continue a major technology transformation programme across their enterprise estate. As part of this journey, they are seeking an experienced Group Technology Project Manager to lead a business-critical Identity & Access Management (IAM) Modernisation initiative. This programme will play a key role in strengthening security, resilience, and operational effectiveness across a complex, large-scale technology environment.
The Role
You will take ownership of a strategic Identity & Access Management modernisation project, leading the implementation of a controlled cloud-based Domain Controller capability and managing the programme through planning, delivery, testing, rollout, and operational transition. Working closely with internal technology teams, security specialists, business stakeholders, and third-party suppliers, you will ensure successful delivery while maintaining operational stability across critical services.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of an enterprise-wide Identity & Access Management modernisation programme.
- Drive the successful implementation of a controlled cloud-based Domain Controller capability.
- Manage the project lifecycle from initiation through to enterprise rollout and operational handover.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including milestones, dependencies, budgets, resources, and delivery schedules.
- Ensure business continuity and minimise operational risk throughout implementation.
- Oversee project governance, reporting, RAID management, change control, and stakeholder communications.
- Ensure production-ready recovery testing is successfully completed ahead of high-risk Active Directory changes.
- Monitor project performance across cost, quality, scope, timelines, and resource utilisation, taking corrective action where required.
- Coordinate activities across multiple technology teams, suppliers, and service partners to deliver integrated solutions.
- Manage project dependencies and risks within a complex enterprise environment.
- Ensure all deliverables are completed to agreed standards and formally accepted by key stakeholders.
- Provide clear and effective communication to technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership teams.
- Adapt plans and priorities as required in response to changing business and technical requirements.
Required Experience
- Minimum 5 years' Project Management experience delivering enterprise technology and infrastructure projects.
- Proven experience managing large-scale transformation programmes within complex organisations.
- Strong background delivering infrastructure migration projects.
- Experience managing Microsoft Active Directory migration or modernisation programmes is highly desirable.
- Demonstrable experience delivering Identity & Access Management, directory services, or cloud infrastructure initiatives.
- Experience working with third-party vendors and managed service providers.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and engage at all levels.
- Experience working closely with technical delivery teams, architects, infrastructure specialists, and security professionals.
- Excellent planning, governance, risk management, and delivery management capabilities.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to thrive within fast-paced, evolving environments and manage competing priorities effectively.
- Experience managing both onsite and remote project teams.
