We’re supporting a major enterprise transformation programme and are looking for an experienced CMDB Lead to take ownership of configuration management strategy and operational excellence within a complex, multi-vendor environment. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong technical ServiceNow CMDB expertise combined with the ability to drive governance, remediation, and stakeholder engagement across a large-scale organisation undergoing managed services transformation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead ServiceNow CMDB configuration and administration
- Manage Discovery schedules, configuration, and reconciliation / primacy rules
- Design and operationalise CSDM-aligned service hierarchies
- Build and maintain Service Mapping structures
- Drive CMDB data quality improvements, remediation, and governance
- Support regulatory reporting, audit evidence, and configuration baselines
- Work closely with process owners, class owners, suppliers, and governance teams
Essential Experience:
- Strong hands-on ServiceNow CMDB expertise
- ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping
- CSDM modelling and service hierarchy design
- CMDB health, reconciliation, and orphaned CI remediation
- Experience within outsourced / managed service environments
- Ability to define Configuration Management strategy, not just BAU support
Highly Desirable:
- Azure Service Graph Connectors (SGC)
- OpsRamp, InTune, ServiceNow Atlas
- HAM Pro implementation experience
- ServiceNow scripting / Business Rules
- Infrastructure lifecycle and currency reporting
- Multi-region CMDB operations
Contract Details:
- £500 - £575/day Inside IR35
- ASAP start
- Ideally 1 day/week in London
- Ideally 1 day/week in Horsham
- Flexibility available for the right candidate
