OVERVIEW
An internationally established major retail brand are hiring for a Lead Machine Learning Engineer to join a strong ML function, managing a team of Data Scientists and engaging with senior business stakeholders. You will be spearheading an ML/ Data Science team, delivering production level machine learning projects at scale for the business, being responsible for driving forward some major ML/ AI initiatives within the wider Data team. Your responsibilities as a Lead Machine Learning Engineer will include but not be limited to:
- Manage a team of Data Scientists/ ML Engineers, direct line management responsibilities including training and personal development, performance and making hiring decisions.
- Technically lead key Machine Learning/ AI initiatives within the Data Science function, still being hands on technically where necessary.
- Engage with senior level business stakeholders, communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences and demonstrating the value of AI/ ML with your projects.
YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
A successful Lead ML Engineer will have the following:
- Proven experience managing a team of Data Scientists/ ML Engineers.
- Several years experience as a Data Scientist/ ML Engineer, some of which is a Senior/ Lead capacity.
- Experience delivering production level ML solutions at scale within a reputable company/ data science function.
- Experience working in customer-centric environments such as retail, telecoms, B2C industries are preferred.
