Join a leading hospitality technology organisation using AI to help operators stay perfectly staffed as demand changes by the hour. We’re hiring a Senior Data Engineer to take ownership of the data infrastructure and pipelines powering analytics, forecasting and production machine learning.
Location: Camden, London (office-first, 4 days/week on-site) | Type: Permanent, full-time (40 hours)
The Role
- Be a core technical owner of the data platform, ensuring reliable, high-quality data from ingestion to production use cases.
- Build and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines and the infrastructure behind them.
- Partner closely with Data Science, Engineering and Product to improve performance, scalability and operational reliability.
- Help shape best practices and mentor others through reviews, pairing and knowledge sharing.
What You’ll Do
- Design, build and maintain data pipelines and workflows that keep data accurate, timely and trustworthy.
- Deploy and support production ML systems (including forecasting and LLM-driven workflows) with monitoring, versioning and CI/CD.
- Maintain and improve an AWS-native data platform (e.g., S3, Redshift, RDS, Athena, SageMaker, Lambda).
- Write and optimise complex SQL for analytics, reporting, modelling and downstream BI use.
- Build and maintain integrations with internal services and partner systems to enable clean, scalable access to data.
- Diagnose and resolve production data issues, improving resilience and reducing operational toil.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business problems into practical, scalable data solutions.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong data engineering fundamentals: pipeline design, orchestration, testing and monitoring.
- Production-quality Python and advanced SQL skills.
- Experience running machine learning systems in production, including model serving and monitoring.
- Comfort working across cloud infrastructure (ideally AWS) and an understanding of platform/DevOps principles.
- A pragmatic, ownership-driven approach: you’re happy to dive into problems, unblock others and keep systems running smoothly.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment where you can have meaningful impact.
