Our client, a top-tier management consultancy, is seeking a skilled Business Data Analyst with strong SQL expertise and a deep understanding of the banking industry to support a critical project in risk management and financial products. This role requires close collaboration with senior stakeholders to define and deliver key business and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the project change lifecycle, including business requirements gathering, technical specification creation, test case development, and execution.
- SQL & Data Analysis – interrogate data, build and execute test cases, and support system migration.
- Work with banking products, derivatives, SFTs, collateral, and margin agreements.
- Apply knowledge of credit risk, liquidity risk, and regulatory capital requirements.
- Present progress updates in large working groups and liaise with senior business stakeholders.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Strong SQL proficiency – ability to write queries and analyze data.
- Banking product knowledge – particularly derivatives, SFTs, and collateral management.
- Understanding of risk management and financial regulations.
- Experience in system migrations (preferred).
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Consultancy experience preferred, not mandatory.
