Role Overview
Do you want to become the driver of the 12:02 CrossCountry service to Cambridge? CrossCountry Trains is looking for a fully qualified train driver to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Drive CrossCountry services across the UK network.
- Ensure safety, reliability and a high level of passenger service.
- Deliver on-time performance and maintain excellent safety records.
- Operate within a flexible shift schedule, including unsocial hours.
Qualifications
- European Train Driving License.
- Minimum three years of productive train driving experience.
- Live within a one-hour commute of Cambridge.
- Ability to work shiftwork, including unsocial hours, and possibly lodging.
- May not apply until occupied present post for 3 years following completion of training and route learning.
- Full medical examination, substance-abuse screening and DBS check required.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive starting salary: £65,402 pa for experienced drivers without core routes.
- £71,367 pa with core routes and traction.
- £77,334 pa after one year of service.
