As a Sales Consultant, you will be on the front lines, helping the UK's small business heroes and making sure they get the right cover to protect their livelihood. This is not just a simple transaction; it is about being relatable and offering genuinely informed advice to new business customers.

What you will be doing:

  • Driving Growth: Handling inbound and outbound calls to sell new policies to prospective customers taking them through the new business sales process from start to finish.
  • Ensuring Accuracy: Processing card payments and Direct Debits with top-tier attention to detail.
  • Championing Quality: Delivering exceptional customer service while expertly navigating regulated guidelines and ensuring mandatory compliance information is delivered clearly on every call.

What you will bring to the team:

  • Sales Experience: You have worked on the phone in an environment driven by targets and KPIs.
  • Quality Focus: You are entirely comfortable with quality assurance practices, such as routine call listening, and understand the importance of delivering compliant information on regulated calls.
  • Resilience: You work well under pressure, remain focused, and are naturally curious.
  • Industry Knowledge: Ideally, you have experience in a regulated environment, or you possess transferable skills that make you a perfect fit.

Salary & Performance-Based Progression: We believe in rewarding your growth and success. Alongside a bonus structure tied to your sales that provides an On-Target Earnings (OTE) of circa £33,000, we offer a clear, positive pathway to increase your basic salary based on your performance:

  • Starting Salary: £27,280.50
  • £28,411.50: With a view to moving to this tier within your first 6 months, all being well.
  • £31,648.50: Opportunity to progress after 12 months at Tier 1, driven by high performance.
  • £34,866.00: Opportunity to progress after 12 months at Tier 2.
  • £40,033.50: Opportunity to progress after 12 months at Tier 3.

Logistics & Work-Life Balance:

  • Start Date: We are gearing up for a new intake on the 10th of August.
  • Working Pattern: This is a hybrid role. You will work eight days per month from our Northampton hub. We will provide all the equipment you need to work from home on the other days; you just need a hardwired broadband connection with a speed of 20Mbps or more.
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5:30pm. You will also work 1 in 3 Saturdays from 9am to 2pm, which will start after your first 3 months. Saturday shifts are paid as overtime on top of your basic salary.
