What Is the Opportunity? Here's what you'll be doing: We are seeking a highly analytical and collaborative Delivery Operations Lead to join our Shared Services department. In this critical role, you will act as a process improvement champion, using a strong systems-thinking approach to analyse how we deliver our services. Your mission is to visualise and optimise flow, identify constraints, and find opportunities to enhance productivity minimising non-value-add activities—all so our products reach the market sooner.
What sets this role apart is that you aren’t just a traditional lead; you are a "quantitative super-user". You will dive deep into the metrics, administering tools and automating workflows to ensure that data is the source of truth for leadership. Using a blend of Lean and Agile principles, you’ll be a key contributor to change, using data to highlight constraints and implementing approved optimisations across the department.
As one of our Delivery Operations Leads, you'll:
- Analyse end-to-end business processes to identify opportunities for optimisation.
- Apply continuous improvement methodologies like Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen to identify constraints and support the implementation of solutions.
- Develop and maintain flow of work maps to clearly communicate how work flows and highlight blockers.
- Measure and analyse flow metrics, such as throughput, cycle time, and flow efficiency, to provide recommendations that inform decision-making.
- Conduct deep root cause analysis on workflow impediments to feed insights and potential solutions back to leadership.
- Leverage and administer a suite of tools, including Jira, Looker, Flow, and Miro, to support your analysis and automate workflows.
We're looking for someone who is:
- A Process Expert: You have proven proficiency in Lean, Six Sigma, and the Theory of Constraints, and are ideally Six Sigma certified.
- Technically Grounded: You have a minimum of two years’ experience as a technical data or software engineer.
- Data-Driven: You have strong analytical skills and experience using data visualisation and statistical analysis to generate actionable insights.
- An Exceptional Communicator: You can articulate complex ideas in simple terms and build strong relationships through clear, courageous communication.
- A Natural Collaborator: You excel at working with cross-functional teams and can influence stakeholders at all levels without direct authority.
- A Change Agent: You have a strong grasp of change management principles and a passion for guiding others through process evolution.
Ready to engineer the future of delivery? If you’re the kind of person who sees a complex system and immediately starts thinking about how to automate, optimise, and accelerate it, we want to hear from you. This isn't just about managing a process; it's about influencing and engineering the way we work. You’ll have the autonomy to leverage a high-end tech stack—from Jira to Flow, Looker and Snowflake, along with the latest AI tools—to turn raw data into a competitive advantage. If you're ready to apply your technical mindset to global delivery operations and make a visible impact on our time-to-market, apply today and help us build a more efficient Simply Business.
