Salary: Pay Range 3, Actual Salary £7,361.00 / 39 weeks per annum (FTE £24,330.00)

Hours and days of work: Initially 2 days per week to include a Wednesday, Thursday or Friday from 08:30am to 3.20pm with a 30 min unpaid break (12.66 hours per week), St. Cuthbert’s School Term time plus 5 INSET days. There may be potential for hours/days to increase from September 2026.

St. Cuthbert’s is a happy and successful, single form entry, Catholic Primary School in Englefield Green (Egham). We aim to develop the Whole Child; our intent is to challenge all our children to develop their own unique spiritual, moral, intellectual, creative and physical potential.

We are seeking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant to support learning both in the classroom and over lunchtimes.

  • Are committed to developing the Catholic ethos of the school and ensuring that pupils achieve their potential.
  • Are patient and care for children.
  • Are excited and enthusiastic about learning.
  • Are passionate about the education of all children. Can inspire and motivate children and are committed to raising standards through example and innovation.
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a dedicated team.
  • Are enthusiastic, creative and resilient and understands how to make learning fun for children.
  • Have good spoken English.
  • Have good English, Math and ICT skills (Min GCSE English & Math or equivalent).
  • Are flexible and resilient in their approach with children.
  • Previous experience of working with children and young people is essential.
  • Will be required to keep records and advise teachers of any issues which may arise during the sessions.
  • Will be required to provide lunchtime cover.
  • Will be required to attend relevant training.
