We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and committed IT Technician to join the Xavier Catholic Education Trust (XCET) IT team based in Chertsey. The IT Technician will be required to troubleshoot hardware and software issues, support staff and students, and help ensure that all IT services run reliably and securely. The position also involves proactive maintenance, monitoring network performance, and adhering to data protection and safeguarding standards.
The successful candidate will also be expected to support and visit multiple schools within XCET as required, providing on-site assistance and contributing to trust-wide IT projects. Strong communication skills, a customer-focused approach, and a commitment to continuous improvement are essential.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- Ideally 2 years’ of IT support experience, but we are happy to consider newly qualified applicants who can demonstrate strong foundational knowledge and enthusiasm for the role.
- A proven track record of delivering high-quality technical support.
- Excellent customer-facing skills and a proactive, solution-focused approach.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- High level of initiative.
