Job Description
We are seeking a full-time Consultant ENT and Head & Neck/Thyroid Surgeon to join a leading Trust in Northern Ireland, UK. This is a 2-year fixed-term contract, full-time (10 programmed activities per week), with potential for extension, based at the second largest hospital in Northern Ireland, which has teaching hospital status.
The successful candidate will be part of a multidisciplinary team, providing high-quality care and efficient ENT/Benign Head and Neck/Thyroid services. They will share responsibility for service provision within the ENT Surgery Department.
The post holder will provide leadership within their specialty team and contribute to clinical excellence through research, audit, and training at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Key Requirements:
- Full GMC registration and a license to practice.
- Entry on the GMC Specialist Register for Otolaryngology via CCT (proposed CCT date within 6 months of interview), CESR, or European Community Rights.
- Hold FRCS ORL-HNS or equivalent.
Additional requirements include:
- A valid UK driving license (International License valid for 1 year).
Preferred qualifications and experience:
- Higher qualifications such as MD or PhD.
- Fellowship in Benign Head and Neck/Thyroid Surgery.
- Publications or presentations.
- Extended subspecialist training or experience in Benign Head and Neck/Thyroid Surgery.
- Experience or training in teaching and research.
- GMC registered trainer.
Salary: £106,424 to £139,920 per annum.
Additional benefits include relocation expenses, salary advance, comprehensive induction and onboarding, ongoing training, and support with CESR/Portfolio Pathway.
