The predicted salary is between 90000 - 120000 £ per year.

We are looking to recruit a full time Consultant ENT and Head & Neck/Thyroid Surgeon to work for a leading Trust in Northern Ireland, UK. This will be for a 2-year fixed term contract, to work full time (10 programmed activities per week), with the potential to extend, at the second largest hospital in Northern Ireland, with teaching hospital status.

The successful candidate will work as part of a multi‑disciplinary team and will be required to provide the optimum quality of care and efficient ENT/Benign Head and Neck/Thyroid service. He/she will share in the collective responsibility for the provision of the services for patients within the ENT Surgery Department. The post holder will be required to provide leadership within their own speciality team. He/she will be expected to contribute to the development of excellence in clinical practice through research, audit and undergraduate and postgraduate training.

Key Requirements:

  • Full registration with General Medical Council (GMC) and a licence to practice.
  • Entry on the GMC Specialist Register for Otolaryngology via CCT (proposed CCT date must be within 6 months of interview date), CESR or European Community Rights.
  • Hold FRSC ORL‑HNS or equivalent.
  • Hold a driving licence which is valid for use in UK (International Licence will be valid for 1 year).
  • Higher Qualifications e.g. MD, PhD.
  • Fellowship including Benign Head and Neck/Thyroid Surgery.
  • Publications/Presentations.
  • Extended sub‑specialist training/experience/interest in Benign Head and Neck / Thyroid Surgery.
  • Experience or further training in teaching and/or research.
  • GMC registered trainer.

Salary: £106,424 to £139,920 per annum
