A specialist education provider is seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist to join a multi-disciplinary clinical team supporting children and young people with autism and complex additional needs. The Role
- Working as part of an integrated clinical and education team, you will support children and young people with a range of needs including:
- Autism spectrum conditions
- Developmental trauma
- Neurodevelopmental differences
- Special educational needs
- You will provide clinically informed assessment, intervention, and therapeutic support while working collaboratively with education and residential care teams to help create positive learning and living environments.
- The successful candidate will also contribute through:
- Delivering therapeutic interventions
- Providing consultation and guidance to staff teams
- Running workshops and training sessions
- Supporting therapeutic strategies across the wider setting
- Promoting positive outcomes for children and young people
Requirements
- Applicants must:
- Be a qualified Occupational Therapist registered with the HCPC
- Have experience supporting children and young people with complex needs
- Be confident delivering therapeutic interventions
- Have experience working collaboratively around the needs of a child or young person
- Be organised, proactive, and able to use initiative
- Be an effective communicator, trainer, and team contributor
- Be committed to improving outcomes for young people
