A specialist education provider is seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist to join a multi-disciplinary clinical team supporting children and young people with autism and complex additional needs. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a purpose-built specialist school environment for pupils aged 5–19. The Role

  • Working as part of an integrated clinical and education team, you will support children and young people with a range of needs including:
    • Autism spectrum conditions
    • Developmental trauma
    • Neurodevelopmental differences
    • Special educational needs
  • You will provide clinically informed assessment, intervention, and therapeutic support while working collaboratively with education and residential care teams to help create positive learning and living environments.
  • The successful candidate will also contribute through:
    • Delivering therapeutic interventions
    • Providing consultation and guidance to staff teams
    • Running workshops and training sessions
    • Supporting therapeutic strategies across the wider setting
    • Promoting positive outcomes for children and young people

Requirements

  • Applicants must:
    • Be a qualified Occupational Therapist registered with the HCPC
    • Have experience supporting children and young people with complex needs
    • Be confident delivering therapeutic interventions
    • Have experience working collaboratively around the needs of a child or young person
    • Be organised, proactive, and able to use initiative
    • Be an effective communicator, trainer, and team contributor
    • Be committed to improving outcomes for young people
