This role offers the chance to shape a new service from the ground up, establishing a positive culture, building a high-performing team, and delivering exceptional outcomes for individuals on their recovery journey.

The service will provide a therapy-led, residential recovery programme within a supportive and therapeutic environment, focused on empowering individuals to achieve sustainable, long-term recovery.

The Role

As Residential Addictions Service Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operation of the service, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and person-centred care.

You will be responsible for creating a positive and inclusive environment for both residents and staff while maintaining high standards of quality, compliance, and operational performance.

Working closely with multidisciplinary colleagues and external stakeholders, you will play a key role in shaping service delivery, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring excellent outcomes for those accessing support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the operational management of a residential addiction recovery service.
  • Build, develop, and motivate a multidisciplinary team, promoting a positive and recovery-focused culture.
  • Ensure high standards of care, safety, and service delivery are maintained at all times.
  • Support individuals with substance misuse challenges and, where appropriate, co‑occurring mental health or neurodiverse needs.
  • Oversee safeguarding, risk management, incident reporting, and quality assurance processes.
  • Monitor service performance, staffing levels, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory frameworks, policies, and best practice standards.
  • Develop effective relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals, commissioners, and partner organisations.
  • Contribute to service development initiatives and continuous quality improvement activities.
  • Promote a therapeutic environment that supports meaningful and lasting recovery outcomes.
  • About the Service

The programme is designed for individuals seeking structured therapeutic support for addiction recovery in a residential setting.

The service focuses on evidence-based therapeutic interventions, peer support, community engagement, and practical recovery tools, offering an alternative pathway for individuals who do not require medical detoxification or intensive clinical treatment.

Candidate Requirements

We are seeking a resilient and compassionate leader with experience in addiction recovery, mental health, or related residential services.

  • Experience overseeing operational performance, staffing, and service delivery.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A compassionate, person-centred, and non-judgemental approach to care.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
