We are recruiting on behalf of a specialist provider supporting children and young adults with autism and complex needs for a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join their clinical team. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference by delivering high-quality nursing care within a specialist education and residential setting, supporting young people with a range of complex medical and health needs.

Please note: Due to the location of the service, a full UK driving licence is essential.

The Role

As a Registered Nurse, you will provide person-centred nursing care to children and young adults with autism and associated complex health conditions. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will promote health, wellbeing and independence while supporting a safe, therapeutic and autism-informed environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care tailored to individual health needs.
  • Support young people with complex medical conditions, including epilepsy, gastrostomy care and wound management.
  • Monitor, assess and respond to changing clinical needs.
  • Work collaboratively with education, care and therapy teams to ensure coordinated care.
  • Build positive relationships with families, healthcare professionals and external agencies.
  • Deliver training, guidance and clinical support to colleagues where appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure compliance with professional standards.
  • Promote best practice in safeguarding, health and wellbeing.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Registration as a Registered Nurse (RNLD, RGN, RMN or RSCN).
  • Current NMC registration.
  • Experience supporting children or young adults with complex health needs.
  • Experience providing training, mentoring or clinical guidance to colleagues.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and clinical assessment skills.
  • A compassionate, proactive and person-centred approach to care.
