Position:
Due to incredible growth, we are looking for an energetic, ambitious Billing Manager to join our team at Xalient in a newly created role. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will directly lead all aspects of customer billing.
This role requires a person who is commercially minded and confident, detail-oriented, performs at a high level of accuracy and efficiency, is well organized, and demonstrates ownership and initiative to accomplish goals. You must be an energetic team player who is eager to learn, contribute to the team and have a strong desire to exceed expectations and improve processes through automation.
This role is ideal for a candidate with at least 3 years+ experience, currently working in a Billing role, who is hungry to progress in their financial career and who has that entrepreneurial mentality to improve and develop existing processes. This is a hands-on role with the ability to grow a team in the future.
What you’ll be doing:
- Interface with Customer delivery teams, Sales/Account Managers and Sales Operations, Legal and multiple other internal departments to interpret and record contracts accurately for order entry and associated revenue recognition, as well as understanding the full commercial implications around delivery and customer requirements.
- Create invoices in Certinia (previously FFA) based on customer sales order information and contractual terms.
- Review the billing data against customer contract information for accuracy
- Maintain and update accurate customer information in all systems (Salesforce.com /Financial Force Billing Central)
- Generate KPI reports
- Triage and respond to customer inquiries, including invoice disputes, statements of account, and payment information
- Perform reconciliations of customer accounts and understand the historical flow of the customer transactions and invoicing history including any modifications of the contracts
- Successfully create billing schedules and billing analysis
- Update data which triggers monthly reporting
Requirements
What you’ll need:
- At least 3 years’ experience in a billing role, all industry backgrounds will be welcome
- Experience in recurring and non-recurring revenue model
- Solid grasp of reading and understanding contracts and the effort of terms and conditions
- Strong analytical skills (particularly MS Excel), exceptional organization and time management skills, and ability to work autonomously
- Exceptional organisation skills
- Ability to liasise with operational teams to obtain information to enable accurate and timely billing
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, entrepreneurial, results-oriented culture
Preferred Qualifications:
- BA/BS in Accounting, Business, Finance, Economics or other related degree
- Experience with financial force and Salesforce
- Experience with international accounting operations
Offer:
- Up to £45,000 – £50,000 (dependent on experience)
- Company bonus
