About the Role: The XPS Risk Settlement team is a fast and exciting growing business area, working alongside trustees and insurers to help navigate schemes through buy-in, buyout and wind-up. Due to increased demand for our services, we are looking for ambitious, organised individuals to work within our post-transaction team, supporting Post-transaction Project Leads in overseeing the activities required for schemes to true-up after buy-in, buyout and eventually wind-up. This is a fantastic role for an individual from a DB background looking to expand into project and client management. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and project manage buy-in, buyout, and wind-up projects efficiently, ensuring delivery within agreed timelines and budget.
- Stringent coordination across all workstreams to ensure deliverables are met.
- Liaise with and manage a range of internal and external stakeholders, including Trustees, Sponsors, and their advisory teams.
- Build, develop, and maintain strong relationships with insurers, independent trustees, and legal firms.
- Contribute to new business initiatives, including participation in tenders and presentations.
- Prepare and deliver clear and accurate updates and reports to clients.
- Due to the changing nature of the business, the job holder may from time to time be required to undertake other activities of a similar nature that fall within their capabilities.
Your Profile:
Essential:
- Extensive experience in DB pensions with a strong technical background.
- Knowledge of buy-in, buyout, and wind-up processes, with an understanding of key workstreams and their interactions.
- Highly organised, with the ability to prioritise effectively and manage task dependencies.
- Proven stakeholder management and influencing skills across all levels.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities.
- Takes ownership and responsibility for deliverables.
- Flexible and resilient under work pressures.
- Solution-focused approach to problem-solving.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with commitment to meeting deadlines and delivering quality outcomes.
- Effective interpersonal skills to build and maintain long-term relationships internally and externally.
Desirable:
- Experience in project-based work is desirable.
- Proficient in use of MS Project.
- Advanced MS Excel capabilities.
