Pensions Project Consultant - De-Risking (RST)

Job type: Permanent, Full Time. Grade: Consultant. Location: Remote.

About the Role

Remote working with occasional office visits. Our teams provide services to a wide range of scheme types.

  • GMP Rectification & Equalisation
  • Buy-In/Buy-Out related De-Risking
  • Data cleansing
  • Ad hoc projects such as scheme closures, benefit rectifications and liability reduction exercises

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead as Scheme Lead for De-Risking (Buy-In/Buy-Out) projects, maintaining responsibility for all data related items.
  • Attend and lead meetings with stakeholders, ensuring effective planning and communication.
  • Deliver tasks against agreed deadlines and manage resources, providing feedback and authorisation of work.
  • Conduct project management meetings, acting as the main point of contact for the De-Risking team.
  • Review and query Benefit Specifications and scheme data; extract, interpret, analyse and process data from multiple sources.
  • Perform bulk manual calculations such as CSP Calculations, Benefit Rectification & Benefit Audits.
  • Set up and lead "Kick off" calls with relevant parties.
  • Monitor overall project scope and budget, communicating changes and additional costs promptly.
  • Provide ad hoc training to team members where required.
  • Ensure all projects/tasks are completed in an auditable manner, including feedback on best practice.
  • Maintain regular updates to the team manager and stakeholders.
  • Occasional travel may be required as the business changes.

Your Profile - Essential

  • Client/Project Management experience from conception to implementation.
  • Thorough understanding of DB Pensions with significant manual calculation experience.
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Ability to multi task and respond to changing priorities.
  • Ownership and responsibility for own work.
  • IT proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Experience creating and managing documentation.
  • Team player in a multi disciplined environment.
  • Flexible approach to work pressures and problem solving.
  • High accuracy and attention to detail in documentation.
  • Strong commitment to deadlines and quality service.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and customer focused delivery approach.
