Apprentice Pensions Administrator

About the Role: This apprenticeship provides hands‑on experience in pension administration, including calculation, reporting, and client communication. The role works Monday to Friday, 9:00‑17:15, with one hour lunch.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform calculations for members (e.g., leaving service, retirement, transfers, death benefits).
- Produce communications and speak to members, trustees, clients, and third parties.
- Create reports for presentation to trustees.
- Complete annual and ad hoc projects such as pension increases.
Your Profile
Essential
- Grade B or 5 in English and Maths GCSE or equivalent.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Excellent organisational and planning skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Positive, flexible and proactive attitude.
- Ability to follow procedures, take ownership of tasks and work well in a team.
- Commitment to a career in pensions administration and continuous improvement.
Desirable
- Previous customer‑focused work experience.
- Quick learner, adaptable to new systems and applications.
