We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Civils Manager to join our team in Aberdeen.
As the Civils Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of civil engineering projects in the Aberdeen area. This includes managing the planning, design, and construction phases, as well as ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all civil engineering projects in Aberdeen, from conception to completion
- Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, and ensure that they are adhered to
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient project delivery
- Monitor project progress and identify and address any issues or delays
- Manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and company policies
- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure quality and safety standards are met
- Prepare and submit project progress reports to senior management
- Identify potential risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate them
- Mentor and train junior staff members as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering project management
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, techniques, and standards
- Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex projects on time and within budget
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations and procedures
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed
