Key Responsibilities:
- Permit Application: Apply for traffic management street work permits from all relevant local authorities to obtain necessary approvals.
- Area Knowledge: Utilize your knowledge of UK regions to ensure accurate and effective permit applications.
- Technical and Documentation Skills: Demonstrate strong technical skills and attention to detail in documentation.
- Service Availability: Ensure the highest possible service availability and performance through effective coordination.
- Compliance and Reporting: Monitor compliance with street work regulations and report significant or ongoing issues to the Senior Network Coordinator and Street Works Manager. Provide solutions to problems and foster collaborative working relationships.
- Timely Responses: Ensure permit applications are responded to within required timescales.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Liaise with customers, local authorities, and utilities to maintain positive relations, considering their observations and comments to enhance contract performance.
- Relationship Building: Build and maintain relationships with statutory undertakers, reinforcing the company's attitudes and values.
- Coordination: Ensure all requests for highway occupation are effectively coordinated and responded to within statutory timescales.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Network Management Experience: Proven experience in a network management environment.
- Permit Scheme Knowledge: Working knowledge of permit schemes for road and street works.
- Legislation and Codes: Relevant knowledge of legislation and codes of practice related to the role.
- Target and Deadline Achievement: Experience in successfully working to targets and meeting tight deadlines.
- PC Literacy: Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word and Excel.
- Street Works Systems: Familiarity with street works management systems such as Street Manager, Confirm, NSG, and one.network.
- Educational Background: Educated to GCSE standard.
- NRSWA Accreditation: New Roads and Street Works Act (NRSWA) accreditation required.
- Driving Licence: Full, valid driving licence.
