As the Traffic Management Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of traffic management operations in Slough. You will work closely with our clients, team members, and stakeholders to ensure the smooth and safe flow of traffic in the area. This is a high-level position that requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication, and a deep understanding of traffic management principles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement traffic management plans and strategies, in line with company and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with local authorities, businesses, and other stakeholders to coordinate and implement traffic management projects.
  • Oversee the installation and maintenance of traffic control devices, systems and requirements.
  • Prepare and manage budgets for traffic management projects.
  • Implementation, maintenance, removal of traffic management schemes.
  • Monitor and analyze traffic data and trends to identify potential issues and develop solutions.
  • Carry out TM audits on our workforce at regular intervals as well as audits on the wider groups sites ensuring full compliance throughout.
  • Carry out toolbox talks at regular intervals to all workforce, including recording, reporting to ops manager on current status.
  • Attend regular meetings to discuss the latest companies operational activities.
  • Regularly liaise with client regarding upcoming projects and assist with planning.
  • Oversee all methods of traffic management; Give and take, Priority, Stop/Go boards, Portable traffic signals, Convoy working, Road closures, Lane closures and diversions.
  • Ensure all work is carried out according to safe working methods and best practice procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Civil Engineering, Transportation Management, or a related field (But Not Mandatory).
  • Full sector scheme 12A,B,C.
