An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Field IT Systems Engineer to join a growing and supportive IT team. This is a hands-on, field-based role providing 1st and 2nd line IT support across four sites in Rugby. Reporting to the Lead IT Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring IT systems remain secure, reliable, and fit for purpose.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1st and 2nd line IT support to staff and students
- Support and maintain Windows-based environments
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues
- Assist with deployment and maintenance of IT hardware and software
- Support cloud-based systems including Google Workspace
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and IT assets
- Assist with data security, backups, and disaster recovery
- Liaise with third-party suppliers and escalate issues where required
The ideal candidate will have proven IT support experience, strong problem-solving skills, and excellent organisational ability. A full, clean UK driving licence is essential due to travel between local sites.
