Procurement Executive
Our client, a well-established IT solutions provider, is looking for a Procurement Executive to join their team in St Albans - managing purchase orders, pricing and supplier relationships with manufacturers and distributors.
Key Responsibilities
- Raise and manage purchase orders with manufacturers and distributors, ensuring accuracy of part numbers, pricing and delivery dates.
- Obtain competitive quotes and process deal registrations/special bid pricing to maximise margin.
- Track open orders end to end, chasing acknowledgements and flagging delays to sales and project teams.
- Liaise with distributors on stock, backorders, RMAs and credits.
- Maintain accurate procurement records within the CRM/order management system.
- Support stock control with the warehouse team and build strong supplier relationships.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Experience in a procurement, purchasing or buying role, ideally in IT, technology or a distribution/reseller environment.
- Strong attention to detail with part numbers, pricing and order data.
- Confident negotiator, well organised, and commercially aware of cost, margin and lead times.
- Competent with CRM systems and Microsoft Excel/Office.
