Senior Cloud Engineer Location: Nr. MitchamSalary: £40,000 – £50,000 per annum
We’re working alongside a long-established Managed Service Provider based in South West London to find an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer . This is a fantastic opportunity to join a small but highly experienced team that delivers expert Microsoft-based cloud solutions for a range of clients.
You\’ll play a key role in delivering secure, efficient, and well-supported cloud infrastructure, primarily around Microsoft technologies. You’ll also support infrastructure improvements, lead certain customer interactions, and be a technical point of contact for both internal colleagues and external partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Cloud & Infrastructure Delivery
- Configure, deploy and maintain cloud environments.
- Create and maintain deployment and reporting scripts.
- Lead firewall configurations and updates (FortiGate preferred).
- Manage security/network documentation and updates.
Customer Engagement & Support
- Act as a trusted point of contact for assigned clients.
- Communicate technical changes clearly while staying within scope and budget.
- Contribute to feedback loops between the business and clients.
Skills & Experience Required:
Technical Must-Haves
- Solid hands-on experience with SharePoint setup and permission management.
- Strong understanding of O365 Conditional Access.
- Ability to investigate and remediate compromised accounts.
- Experience with MDM tools and deployment.
- Familiarity with firewalls (FortiGate ideal).
- Exposure to Power BI and PowerShell (desirable).
Professional Experience
- Background in a helpdesk / support environment (MSP experience preferred).
- Proven ability to manage projects and client expectations.
- Confidence in client-facing situations, with excellent communication skills.
