We are working with a successful Service Provider to find a hands-on Technical Support Engineer to join their team in Maidenhead. This is a varied field-based role combining 1st and 2nd line network support with on-site cabling and infrastructure installation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide 2nd line support across a range of clients and systems
  • Troubleshoot network, server, desktop, and cloud-based issues
  • Support Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 environments
  • Assist with networking tasks (switching, routing, firewall configurations)
  • Configure and manage devices including Meraki, DrayTek, and Sophos firewalls
  • Perform on-site installations and support as required
  • Document issues, solutions, and changes in service systems
  • Deliver excellent customer service and represent the business professionally on-site
Requirements:
  • 3+ years in a technical support or network support role
  • Strong understanding of Windows Server 2012+ and Windows 10+
  • Hands-on experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft 365, and SharePoint Online
  • Good networking knowledge: DNS, routing, switching
  • Experience supporting users remotely and on-site
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving mindset
  • Full UK driving licence
