As the Network Manager, you are responsible for overlooking the management, security, availability, maintenance and installation of the administrative and curriculum ICT network, this includes the software and hardware infrastructure of the school’s ICT network. You will also have the responsibility of monitoring the IT technicians working on site. In addition, you will work alongside the Senior Leadership Team to support in the development of the school’s IT infrastructure and establish and enact plans for projects. Your role is crucial in ensuring the school's ICT network is optimised for effective use by members of staff and students while ensuring its stability and security.
It is crucial you have a high level of commitment to delivering the clients services in a way which successfully reflects the company's values. Within the role, you will be responsible for encouraging effective communication between MSP and school. This involves keeping up to date on the services and solutions the client can offer, as well as managing customer accounts.
Responsibilities:- Running the school’s ICT based applications and network infrastructure.
- 2nd/3rd line support.
- Ensure work is in line with school policies.
- Day to day management of all IT operations ensuring that requests are dealt with quickly and effectively.
- Take responsibility and line manage the work produced by ICT support staff.
- Supplying technical advice, training, and support to staff to ensure they are able to make effective use of systems.
- Observation and maintenance of all key systems including virtual & physical server environments, switches, Microsoft 365, and backups.
- Training of internal staff.
- Passionate for IT, it is required you have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience working as an IT Manager/Network Manager/Senior ICT Consultant within a school setting.
- The ability to work independently and in collaboration with a team, with a skill for problem-solving and a pro-active approach to identifying opportunities to improve the services given by the team.
- Is self-motivated, with great communication and interpersonal skills, additionally having top-end customer service skills.
- Has a high level understanding of the responsibilities and requirements of working within a school environment.
- Skilled in performing upgrades to a school IT Network system.
The role is on a full-time basis and the successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
