A leading global fintech provider of cloud-native, AI-enabled banking platforms is seeking a VP of Strategic New Business to join its growing team. The firm partners with Tier 1 and Tier 2 banks worldwide across retail, corporate, and wholesale banking, supporting large-scale transformation programmes that improve operational efficiency, accelerate innovation, and enable data-led decision-making. Following sustained international growth, the company is now prioritising expansion within the UK subsidiaries of globally headquartered banks - including European institutions and rapidly growing banking groups from Asia and emerging markets such as India, Turkey, China, and Sri Lanka. This role is focused on developing and owning new commercial relationships within this segment. You will be a senior, front-line revenue leader operating in a largely untapped market, with responsibility for winning new logos and positioning the firm’s end-to-end fintech capabilities across lending, retail banking, and enterprise transformation initiatives. Success in this role requires a strong understanding of how internationally governed, relationship-led banks operate within the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a targeted new business strategy for UK subsidiaries of international banks across Europe and Asia
  • Secure initial engagements and build senior stakeholder relationships across retail, corporate, and wholesale banking divisions
  • Lead complex, consultative sales cycles for enterprise-scale banking technology solutions, including digital lending, payments, treasury, onboarding, and AI-driven automation
  • Collaborate closely with global account teams and overseas headquarters to ensure alignment across banking groups
  • Represent the firm within banking networks, industry associations, and executive forums
  • Monitor market trends, regulatory developments, and digital investment priorities within the international subsidiary banking landscape

Key Requirements

  • 8+ years’ experience in enterprise sales or business development within fintech, banking technology, consulting, or financial services
  • Demonstrated success selling into UK subsidiaries of foreign-owned banks, particularly within Indian, Turkish, Chinese, or European banking communities
  • Established network within relationship-driven or specialist banking circles
  • Strong understanding of banking operations and transformation priorities across lending, payments, and digital platforms
  • Entrepreneurial approach with strong commercial acumen and executive presence
  • Background in fintech, SaaS, or top-tier consulting environments highly advantageous
  • Familiarity with cloud, data, and AI-led banking transformation beneficial

This is a rare opportunity to define and lead a new go-to-market strategy within a well-established global fintech organisation. The role offers ownership of a strategically important client segment, significant visibility with senior leadership, and the mandate to build a sustainable revenue pipeline from the ground up.
