About the Company

Our client is a global fintech innovator transforming how banks modernise, compete, and serve customers in a digital-first world. Through advanced, cloud-native, and AI-driven software platforms, they enable financial institutions to streamline operations, enhance customer experience, and unlock new growth opportunities.

With a proven track record of delivering enterprise-scale solutions to leading financial institutions globally, the company is now accelerating its UK expansion—deepening relationships with Tier 1 and Tier 2 banks as a trusted partner in digital transformation, payments modernisation, and operational resilience.

The Opportunity

This is a senior, high-impact new business leadership role for a commercial and strategic sales executive with a deep network across the UK banking sector—particularly with Heads of Payments, Digital, Operations, and Transformation at major institutions. As Vice President – New Business Development, you will own the go-to-market strategy and full sales cycle for enterprise software solutions across Tier 1 and Tier 2 banks. You’ll leverage your credibility, client relationships, and understanding of complex banking challenges to originate, shape, and close transformative multi-million-pound deals.

The focus is not on capital markets, but on core banking, retail, commercial, and payments innovation—helping institutions modernise their infrastructure, improve speed and resilience, and achieve real-time banking capabilities through cutting-edge fintech solutions.

Please note: This is a high-touch, relationship-led position requiring regular in-person engagement across London and client sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead full-cycle enterprise sales — from prospecting and opportunity identification through to contract negotiation and closure, managing complex multi-stakeholder deals across long sales cycles.
  • Develop and expand senior-level relationships across Tier 1 and Tier 2 banks, particularly with decision-makers in payments, operations, and technology transformation.
  • Position and sell enterprise software solutions spanning digital banking, payments, and automation platforms—aligned to each client’s strategic and regulatory objectives.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to banking executives, using your market insight to help shape clients’ modernisation agendas and digital roadmaps.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, delivery, and marketing teams to design bespoke proposals and ensure value realisation post-sale.
  • Represent the company at high-profile industry events, executive forums, and client workshops to elevate brand visibility and thought leadership.
  • Stay ahead of market developments in UK financial services—particularly around real-time payments, cloud adoption, data strategy, and operational transformation.

Experience & Qualifications

  • 8+ years’ experience in fintech, enterprise software, or consulting, with a strong track record of new business generation in the UK financial services market.
  • Extensive and active network within Tier 1 and Tier 2 UK banks, with demonstrable relationships at Head of Payments, Operations, or Transformation level.
  • Proven experience selling complex enterprise software solutions (not consulting-only) into regulated financial institutions.
  • Expertise in managing multi-stakeholder, high-value sales cycles from inception to signature.
  • Deep understanding of banking operations, payments modernisation, and digital transformation challenges (non–capital markets).
  • Exposure to cloud, AI, data-driven, or API-based platforms highly advantageous.
  • Commercially astute, persuasive communicator with exceptional relationship management, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Background in top-tier fintech, enterprise software, or strategic consulting a plus.

Why Join

  • Strategic Impact: Take ownership of the UK banking new business strategy at a pivotal stage of growth and transformation.
  • Blue-Chip Clients: Engage with leading UK banks driving real-time payments, digital core, and operational innovation.
  • Influence & Visibility: Operate at executive level, shaping partnerships that define the next decade of digital banking.
  • High-Performance Culture: Join a world-class fintech where entrepreneurial drive and commercial success are recognised and rewarded.
