We’re looking for an experienced Lead AWS Cloud Architect to join a major cloud migration and modernisation programme within a highly regulated environment. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll own the end-to-end cloud architecture strategy across AWS infrastructure, security, networking, identity, migration planning, and EUC modernisation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading cloud architecture and technical governance across multiple workstreams
  • Designing secure AWS Landing Zones and governance controls
  • Driving cloud migration strategy, implementation, and cutover planning
  • Overseeing Amazon WorkSpaces / Citrix modernisation
  • Ensuring security, resilience, compliance, and operational readiness
  • Working closely with senior stakeholders, SMEs, and delivery teams

Key skills required:

  • AWS Architecture (multi-account environments)
  • AWS Organisations / Control Tower
  • IAM, VPC, KMS, GuardDuty, CloudTrail
  • Terraform and/or CloudFormation
  • Amazon WorkSpaces / AppStream / FSLogix
  • AWS MGN / CloudEndure
  • Entra ID / Conditional Access / MFA
  • Strong governance and stakeholder management experience

Ideal background:

  • 10+ years in cloud architecture
  • Strong AWS experience within regulated or enterprise environments
  • Experience delivering large-scale migration and transformation programmes
  • AWS certifications highly desirable
