We are looking for an experienced, passionate, and critical‑thinking Senior Freelance Producer to help evaluate, document, prioritize, and approve licensing partners in the live entertainment and immersive experience sectors.

About the Role

This role will assess both the operational, production, and technical production capabilities of prospective partners, ensuring alignment with brand standards and delivery expectations.

The ideal freelancer brings a hybrid background in event production, technical execution, and business development, with strong insight into international touring, installations, and fixed venue shows.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and analyze new licensing and co‑production opportunities in key global markets.
  • Conduct due diligence on potential partners, including financials, staffing, and previous work.
  • Review P&Ls, cash flow statements, and budget breakdowns to determine financial viability.
  • Meet with potential licensing partners to assess infrastructure, technical resources, and staffing.
  • Contribute to a live database of current and prospective partners categorized by capability, geography, and project type.
  • Investigate and confirm partner reputation through industry references and completed projects.
  • Communicate the show’s requirements to partners and respond to key questions about operational and technical riders.
  • Evaluate .DWG drawings of venues for preliminary validation.
  • Validate partners’ experience in rigging, AV, lighting, scenic, show control, networking, and carpentry.
  • Assess access to qualified technical crew, equipment, and in‑house capabilities.
  • Evaluate readiness for site‑specific builds, tours, and non‑traditional venues.
  • Ensure proposed events are scalable, feasible, and within required specs, timelines, and budgets.
  • Assess partners’ capabilities in delivering long‑running installations safely and efficiently.
  • Advise business development and production teams on which licensing leads represent the highest value and lowest risk.
  • Consult with internal producers, technical directors, and project managers to align partner selection with creative and operational needs.
  • Contribute to contract and scope documentation by providing clear evaluations of technical capacity.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in live event production, immersive experiences, or technical show management.
  • Expertise in technical production domains (lighting, sound, AV, staging, rigging, scenic build, or show control).
  • Proven ability to evaluate vendors, venues, and licensing partners from both a business and technical standpoint.
  • Familiarity with international production environments, standards, and logistics.
  • Ability to interpret and critique production budgets, technical drawings, schedules, and equipment specs.

⚡Please note this role is less hands‑on and focuses on the operational evaluation of vendors, partners, and logistics.
