A Kent based Medical Device company are currently on the lookout for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their design team and take ownership of new product development.

Due to the team being small and working on multiple projects, the successful candidate will be a self-starter and willing to go beyond the job description to successfully deliver projects. My client is also looking for someone who can take ownership of the design engineering, striking a balance between the aesthetics and functionality of product design.

Skills overview:

  • 5+ years knowledge in Mechanical Engineering
  • Proficient in Solidworks
  • Formal development experience in Medical Devices or equivalent (ISO9001 / ISO1345)
  • Functional design experience as well as aesthetics design
  • Hand calculations
