About the Opportunity
We’re supporting an advanced aerospace programme entering an exciting phase of live prototype aircraft activity and transition toward pre-production and production. This is a highly hands-on, onsite contract role placing you at the heart of aircraft build operations. You’ll work directly alongside design, test, and production teams to ensure EWIS and complex aircraft system manufacturing processes are robust, compliant, and production-ready. If you thrive in a live aircraft environment and enjoy solving real build challenges at pace — this opportunity is for you.

- Collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure manufacturing processes align with aircraft and system-level requirements
- Producing detailed process planning to support aircraft build and commissioning systems
- Providing daily shop-floor support to maintain build momentum and resolve technical issues
- Defining and implementing manufacturing requirements for complex aircraft systems, including EWIS
- Raising planning and commissioning cards in line with design intent
- Supporting aircraft and manufacturing facility commissioning activities
- Leading and contributing to concession activity, root cause analysis, and structured problem solving in a live aircraft environment
What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience assembling and building complex aircraft systems on live aircraft
- Strong understanding of aircraft manufacturing and build principles
- Technical signatory capability
- Demonstrated ability to develop manufacturing processes, requirements, and planning documentation
- Experience raising planning and commissioning cards from engineering design data
- Experience supporting concession activity and structured problem solving
- Strong IT skills
- Experience with CATIA and 3D DELMIA (desirable)
- Experience supporting aircraft and manufacturing facility commissioning
The Environment
This is not a desk-based planning role. You’ll be embedded within live aircraft activity, working closely with production teams on the shop floor, solving real-time integration and build challenges, and supporting the transition from prototype to production. The programme operates at pace and demands collaboration, technical rigour, and a strong safety-first mindset.
