We are currently seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Migration Consultant to support a major cloud transformation programme for a Local Government client.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in migrating critical services and infrastructure into AWS within a complex public sector environment, with a strong focus on AWS networking, governance, and FinOps best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support AWS cloud migration activities across infrastructure and applications
- Assess existing on-premise environments and design migration strategies
- Deliver migration planning, execution, optimisation, and post-migration support
- Design and implement secure AWS networking solutions across hybrid cloud environments
- Support AWS cost optimisation initiatives and FinOps governance
- Work closely with technical teams, architects, and business stakeholders across the programme
- Implement AWS best practices around security, networking, governance, resilience, and scalability
- Support automation and infrastructure-as-code initiatives using Terraform/CloudFormation
- Ensure smooth transition and minimal disruption to business-critical services
Required Experience
- Proven experience delivering AWS cloud migration projects within enterprise environments
- Strong hands-on AWS experience including AWS networking and hybrid connectivity experience
- Experience with AWS migration tooling including AWS Migration Hub and Application Migration Service
- Good understanding of FinOps principles
- Experience with Terraform, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, and DevOps practices
- Experience working within Local Government, Public Sector, or regulated environments highly desirable
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
