An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior High-Speed PCB Design Engineer to join an advanced technology organisation developing next-generation computing and AI hardware solutions. Working within a highly skilled multidisciplinary engineering team, you will be responsible for the design and layout of complex, high-performance PCBs supporting cutting-edge neural network and accelerated computing applications.
Salary: £100,000+ DOE + Comprehensive Benefits Package
Location: Hybrid (4 days onsite, 1 day remote)
Security Clearance: Must be eligible for SC Clearance
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and layout of high-speed, multi-layer PCBs using Altium Designer.
- Development of complex 12+ layer boards incorporating HDI technologies.
- PCB design for RF applications operating at frequencies exceeding 6GHz.
- Signal integrity, power integrity, and EMC-focused design activities.
- Collaboration with hardware, FPGA, RF, and systems engineering teams throughout the product lifecycle.
- Support prototype bring-up, verification, and design optimisation activities.
Essential Experience:
- Proven experience designing high-speed digital PCBs in Altium Designer.
- Expertise in 12-layer and above PCB stack-ups.
- Strong knowledge of HDI design methodologies.
- Experience with RF PCB design for frequencies of 6GHz and above.
- Understanding of signal integrity, controlled impedance routing, and high-speed interfaces.
- Ability to work across the full hardware development lifecycle.
