Palo Alto SME - Role & Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Palo Alto Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW) and Panorama within enterprise environments, particularly in Azure cloud deployments.
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Site-to-Site VPN and Remote Access VPN for secure and reliable connectivity.
- Design and implement High Availability (HA) and failover strategies to ensure uninterrupted firewall services.
- Create, optimize, and maintain ACL rules, NAT configurations, and advanced security policies in alignment with best practices.
- Perform routine and critical software upgrades on Palo Alto firewalls to maintain system security and functionality.
Palo Alto SME - Required Experience
- 5+ years' in dedicated Palo Alto project roles.
- Enterprise-scale Palo Alto NGFW deployments, including design, implementation, and operational support.
- Migrating Palo Alto firewalls from on-prem to Azure.
- Solid understanding of Azure network traffic flows, NSGs, UDRs, and integration with virtual firewalls.
- Palo Alto certifications (PCNSE preferred).
