Life-Saving Product | Consumer & Commercial (Non-Defence)
We're looking to engage an experienced ATEX Ex d (flameproof) explosion protection specialist to support the development of a consumer and commercial (non-defence) product that is used to help save lives. The work is focused specifically on Ex d flameproof design for non-electrical (mechanical) equipment, in line with EN ISO 80079-36/37 and relevant EN / IEC 60079 Ex d requirements. This is a specialist, high-impact role, not general mechanical design.
Scope of work- Ex d (flameproof) design & compliance
- ATEX explosion protection for non-electrical mechanical equipment
- Specialist advisory input on a life-critical product
- OUTSIDE IR35
- High day rate
- Remote working acceptable
- Client open to a specialist contractor or consultancy approach (this advert is for a high-pay contractor engagement)
- Proven, hands-on Ex d / flameproof ATEX experience
- Strong knowledge of EN ISO 80079 and EN / IEC 60079 Ex d standards (beneficial)
- Comfortable acting as a subject matter expert
