I'm currently supporting a major digital transformation programme and am looking to speak with experienced Encryption Architects who have a strong background in enterprise cryptography, PKI and key management. This is an opportunity to play a key role in assessing an existing cryptographic landscape and helping shape the future-state security architecture across a large, complex enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities- Lead technical assessments across encryption, PKI and certificate management services.
- Review existing cryptographic controls, trust models and certificate management processes.
- Evaluate current key management and secrets management solutions, including technologies such as CyberArk and Thales.
- Design future-state encryption and key management architectures using Azure-native services including Azure Key Vault and Managed HSM.
- Identify security risks, technical debt and opportunities for improvement across hybrid environments.
- Produce architecture documentation, technical recommendations and strategic roadmaps.
- Work closely with technical and business stakeholders to define secure, scalable cryptographic solutions.
- Proven experience as an Encryption Architect, PKI Architect, Cryptography Architect or Security Architect with a strong focus on encryption technologies.
- Strong understanding of enterprise PKI, certificate lifecycle management and cryptographic controls.
- Experience designing and implementing key management and secrets management solutions.
- Knowledge of Azure security services, particularly Azure Key Vault, Managed HSM and BYOK concepts.
- Experience with technologies such as Thales, CipherTrust and/or CyberArk.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working within large enterprise, regulated or public sector environments would be highly advantageous.
