X4 Technology are partnered with a leading third-party managing agent within the Lloyd’s of London insurance market to hire an IT Resilience Manager. This role plays a critical part in strengthening IT and cyber resilience and continuity oversight across multiple syndicates, particularly those operating largely self-managed technology estates.
The focus of the role is to improve visibility, governance and assurance over IT and cyber controls, ensuring syndicates can demonstrably support their Important Business Services and remain compliant with PRA, FCA and Lloyd’s operational resilience requirements, including delivery within defined impact tolerances.
This is a highly influential role sitting at the intersection of technology, cyber security and regulatory resilience, with a strong forward-looking programme of testing and assurance activity.
Responsibilities- Establish and enhance oversight of IT and cyber resilience controls across multiple syndicates with diverse technology estates
- Improve visibility of technology resilience testing, including understanding what testing is performed, how often and against which standards
- Assess how IT and cyber testing outcomes support the actual operation of Important Business Services
- Ensure alignment with regulatory expectations from the PRA, FCA and Lloyd’s, particularly around operational resilience and impact tolerances
- Design, manage and deliver a 12-month programme of resilience testing, including penetration testing and red / purple team exercises
- Work closely with syndicates to challenge, support and uplift their cyber and IT resilience maturity
- Act as a key point of coordination between technology, cyber security, risk and compliance stakeholders
- Produce clear reporting and assurance outputs for senior stakeholders and governance forums
- Strong experience in Cyber Resilience, IT Resilience or Operational Resilience within the Lloyd’s of London market
- Solid understanding of IT and cyber controls, including penetration testing and advanced threat simulation (red / purple teaming)
- Good knowledge of UK regulatory expectations (PRA, FCA, Lloyd’s) relating to operational and cyber resilience
- Ability to translate technical testing results into business and regulatory outcomes
- Confident engaging with senior stakeholders and providing constructive challenge
- Organised, structured, and comfortable operating in a role with high visibility and accountability
