A leading IT services organisation is seeking a Senior Software Developer with strong experience in IBM Operational Decision Manager (ODM) to support the delivery of decision-driven applications within a large, complex healthcare environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on developer to play a key role in designing and implementing rule-based solutions that support critical operational decision-making.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for building and configuring decision services, working closely with architects and business analysts to deliver scalable and maintainable solutions. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining decision services using IBM ODM
  • Translating business requirements into business rules and decision logic
  • Designing and implementing rule flows and rule sets
  • Integrating decision services with wider application and workflow components
  • Supporting testing, troubleshooting, and optimisation of rule-based systems
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions

Skills & Experience

  • Strong hands-on experience with IBM Operational Decision Manager (ODM)
  • Proven experience building and managing business rules and decision services
  • Understanding of integration with workflow/process-based systems (e.g. BAW/BPM)
  • Experience working within structured delivery environments (e.g. Agile)
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in healthcare or regulated environments is advantageous

  • Initial 6-month contract
  • Outside IR35
  • Fully remote (UK-based)
  • Immediate start preferred
