I'm currently recruiting for an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to join an innovative engineering team developing cutting-edge embedded software for high-reliability systems. This role offers remote working, with only occasional onsite visits required for testing, integration, and collaboration with the wider engineering team.
Salary: Up to £80,000 (with industry leading benefits)
You'll be working on:
- Developing and maintaining embedded software in C++
- Designing, testing, and integrating software for complex embedded systems
- Working across the full software development lifecycle
- Collaborating with hardware, FPGA, and systems engineering teams
- Building robust, high-performance software for advanced engineering applications
We're looking for engineers with experience in:
- Embedded Software Development
- C++ and Linux environments
- Object-Oriented Design (OOD), SOLID principles, and design patterns
- Unit testing and modern software development practices
- Communication protocols such as CAN, RS232/RS422, UDP, or TCP/IP
Desirable experience includes:
- MATLAB/Simulink
- OpenGL or Vulkan
- CUDA or OpenCL
- FPGA or HDL exposure
- Video processing or machine learning
- Experience within defence, aerospace, automotive, or other high-reliability industries
