A leading IT services organisation is seeking a Senior Software Developer with strong experience in IBM Operational Decision Manager (ODM) to support the delivery of decision-driven applications within a large, complex healthcare environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on developer to play a key role in designing and implementing rule-based solutions that support critical operational decision-making.
The successful candidate will be responsible for building and configuring decision services, working closely with architects and business analysts to deliver scalable and maintainable solutions. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining decision services using IBM ODM
- Translating business requirements into business rules and decision logic
- Designing and implementing rule flows and rule sets
- Integrating decision services with wider application and workflow components
- Supporting testing, troubleshooting, and optimisation of rule-based systems
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions
Skills & Experience:
- Strong hands-on experience with IBM Operational Decision Manager (ODM)
- Proven experience building and managing business rules and decision services
- Understanding of integration with workflow/process-based systems (e.g. BAW/BPM)
- Experience working within structured delivery environments (e.g. Agile)
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience in healthcare or regulated environments is advantageous
Contract Details:
- Initial 6-month contract
- Outside IR35
- Fully remote (UK-based)
- Immediate start preferred
