Join a pioneering aviation manufacturing project as a Facilities Technician on a high-paying, Outside IR35 contract. This is a hands-on, varied role supporting the safe and effective operation of critical electrical and mechanical equipment at a next-gen aerospace R&D facility.

The Role

  • Perform visual inspections and safety checks on facility equipment (e.g. abuse testing chambers, DC battery test rigs, laser welders, scrubber systems, lifting devices).
  • Use a multimeter to carry out basic electrical safety tests (sockets, plugs, cables).
  • Health and safety processes.
  • Liaise with service providers to manage maintenance schedules.
  • Support continuous improvement and ensure proper processes are in place.

You don’t need prior experience with all equipment—just solid electrical know-how, a hands-on attitude, and the ability to work in a fast-paced engineering environment.

What You’ll Need

  • Background in electrical engineering or facilities maintenance (you can still be considered if you have a mechanical background or have previously worked with Fibre Optics/hydraulics or Pneumatics).
  • Comfortable with basic testing, fault-finding, and supplier coordination.
  • Organised, proactive, and safety-focused.
