We’re seeking a DV-cleared Network Engineer to join a high-impact government project, focusing on network automation and secure infrastructure. This is a 3–6 month contract role, outside IR35, offering an excellent opportunity to work at the forefront of secure network engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver robust network automation using Ansible, Python, PowerShell, and APIs
  • Maintain and support complex Campus Area Networks (CAN) and Wide Area Networks (WAN)
  • Utilise Cisco Catalyst Centre for network management and monitoring
  • Configure, secure, and troubleshoot Cisco and Juniper firewalls
  • Leverage tools like PRTG, SolarWinds, ELK Stack, Wireshark for diagnostics and performance tuning
  • Design and support protocols/technologies: OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, DMVPN, GRE, IPSEC, VLANs, Trunking, Spanning Tree

Required Skills & Certifications:

  • Active DV Clearance (mandatory – no sponsorship or clearance support)
  • CCNP Enterprise certification (including ENCOR 350-401, ideally ENARSI 300-410)
  • Expertise with both Cisco and Juniper firewall technologies

Desirable skills:

  • CCNA/CCNP Security or Juniper JNCIA/JNCIS certifications
  • Experience with IP cryptography
  • Familiarity with Cisco CUCM & Unified Communications technologies
  • Experience working with Oracle ECB/SBC

Start Date: ASAP

Length: 3–6 months (potential to extend)

Location: On-site at secure UK facility (no remote option)
