Contract Hardware Engineer (Outside IR35) – Cutting-Edge Satellite Comms | Immediate Start
We’re working with a confidential leader in next-generation satellite communications technology who is seeking a EMC Engineer to join their elite engineering team on an Outside IR35 contract basis. This is an immediate start role for a forward-thinking engineer ready to make a direct impact on the future of global connectivity.
This is more than just another contract — it\’s a chance to work on breakthrough hardware for advanced terminal systems featuring fully electronic beam steering and intelligent network routing. These terminals are engineered for seamless integration across multiple satellite constellations and terrestrial networks, with real-world applications in aerospace, land mobile, maritime, and 5G.
What You’ll Be Doing;
Take full ownership of EMC testing for ground satellite terminal power systems. This role includes managing compliance with MIL-STD-461G and other EMC standards, developing and executing test plans, and liaising directly with external EMC test houses to ensure certification success. The ideal candidate will have knowledge AC-DC/DC-DC power conversion design in addition to the EMC lab testing experience, and a strong track record working with ruggedized defense electronics. If you’re ready to lead EMC validation and drive compliance from design through certification, this is an exciting chance to make a critical impact. Any experience with power Electronics or power factor correction is an added benefit.
